Amanda Mulder is the lucky winner of the 60” Sharp AQUOS® LCD television. Amanda walked (on crutches) at the London & Area Parkinson SuperWalk.
When asked why she participated in the Parkinson SuperWalk, Amanda said, "I walk in honour of my grandfather. He was the most amazing man I have ever known. He was my rock, and I loved him more than I ever thought possible. He lived with Parkinson’s for over ten years.
The reason that I participate in the Parkinson SuperWalk is that I hope that one day this disease will be non-existent. Seeing my grandfather having to deal with the challenges that a Parkinson’s diagnosis presents broke my heart every day and if I can help even in the slightest to make sure no one else has to face those challenges, I will do whatever I can."
You helped raise over $399,000 through the 2014 Parkinson SuperWalk for support services and research. If you are interested in becoming part of the organizing committee for the 2015 Parkinson SuperWalk in your area, contact Steve Hickson at 1-888-851-7376.
