Cut-A-Thon for Parkinson's
Sunday, April 26, 2015
Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario
4500 Blakie Road, Unit 117
Amanda Mulder is the lucky winner of the 60” Sharp AQUOS® LCD television. Amanda walked (on crutches) at the London & Area Parkinson SuperWalk.
When asked why she participated in the Parkinson SuperWalk, Amanda said, "I walk in honour of my Grandfather. He was the most amazing man I have ever known. He was my rock, and I loved him more than I ever thought possible. He lived with Parkinson’s for over 10 years.
The reason that I participate in the Parkinson SuperWalk is that I hope that one day this disease will be non-existent. Seeing my grandfather having to deal with the challenges that a Parkinson’s diagnosis presents broke my heart every day and if I can help even in the slightest to make sure no one else has to face those challenges, I will do whatever I can."
We've raised over $398,000 through the Parkinson SuperWalk for support services and research. Help us increase that amount by going to www.parkinsonsuperwalk.ca to pledge a walker. The website is open until December 12, 2014.
